Interpretive Design tribute to Richard Neutra at Huntington Beach Central Library

The memorial including interactive elements such as informative board that educate visitors about modernist architecture as well as interesting historical facts about Huntington Beach Central Library along with physical interactive sculptural features. The design concept was inspired by Richard Neutra’s blending in the elements of nature in relation to the design of the build environment surrounding the library.
The space will include an open spaces that focused on bringing in architectural elements
that align and connect with the environment, as well as in relation to humans interaction with the occupation of space.
This interactive design explores a visual system based on angular curves, informative
panels, and geometric shapes to enhance user engagement and clarity. By combining sharp edges with smooth transitions, the design creates a dynamic flow that guides users
through content in an intuitive way. The open garden paths included open spatial flow which allowed architecture and nature to continuously flow together. Natural open spaces which help enhances the emotional wellbeing and provoke curiosity.
